Pig Out Fest!

Last night we held our our Young Married's fastbreaker. Bishop had asked me to organise it for our ward and I was like - easy peasy!! Food and socialising - That's my thing. So every second fast Sunday we meet at someone's house and have a pot luck fastbreaker.

Mel and Dean
Last night we met at Levi and Lousie's - no Mexican theme this time and it was a wonderful evening. I told everyone that I was not talking to anybody until I had eaten. The funny thing is when I was first organising the group I thought there should be an age limit like 19-30yrs but then after realising I am sadly now 33, I upped the limit to 35. As the organiser of the idea I did not want to miss out on all the fun.

Levi, Will, Louise and Toni
Last night we played a joke on Jaron. Toni told us that ever since he was little, he has absolutely detested pumpkin. Toni cuts it up real small and disguises it in dishes as carrot so he will eat it.

Mel cooked this divine spicy pumpkin roll dessert (her husband Dean is American so everything is pumpkin this month in the lead up to Halloween) and we did not tell Jaron what was in it. He actually had two helpings, he liked it that much.

When Toni told him it was actually pumpkin, we all could not stop laughing. He did not want to admit that he liked it - it was a classic.

Tash and Tom
Simon was our half-time entertainment. The kids queued up for a turn being swung up from his feet and over his head. Everyone always thinks Simon is quiet and serious but tonight they got to see what he is really like. Our kids are always at him for wrestles.

All the kids loved playing with Will's baby toys. Poor Will I hope he has recovered from having his house taken over by crazy kids. I think he is used to things a little bit quieter.

It was a great evening with great food and great company - what more could you ask for. This morning I had to go to the gym to make up for my double helpings of dessert - there is always a catch isn't there!!

I can't believe how skinny Louise and Toni look - after just having babies!! Maybe we should just stop going to the gym Simone!?!? :)
